PTA (Purified Terephthalic Acid)

Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) a kind of dicarboxylic acid in aromatic dicarboxylic acids. It is of white and powdered crystal under normal atmospheric temperature being characteristic of nontoxity and inflammability. At first step of production process, Crude Terephthalic Acid (CTA) is produced through catalytic liquification and oxidation among air, paraxylene (as main raw material) and acetic acid (as solvent) and then the CTA is hydrogenated to remove the impurities and then is separated and dried to produce fibre grade PTA.
  Product Usage

Fibre grade PTA is the main raw material for the production of polyester fibre, Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) bottle resin and polyester film. PTA is also widely used in polyamide, and alkyd resins for powder coatings, ink vehicles, and magnet wire enamel applications.
